Beach Guest House was the 1st guest house opened in Maninjau in 1980. Bagoes Café began serving delicious Indonesian and Western food in Maninjau’s central market in 1995. The owners of Bagoes Café purchased Beach Guest House in 2013 and consolidated both operations at the lakeside location in 2014
The new owners fully renovated the existing lakeside guest house and restaurant facilities during the first half of 2014

ABOUT MANINJAU

Lake Maninjau is a caldera lake in West Sumatra, Indonesia, home of the Minangkabau people. We are located 1.5 hours from Bukittinggi and 2.5 hours from Padang. Lake Maninjau has an area of 99.5 km², being approximately 16 km long and 7 km wide, making for a strenuous mountain bike ride, or an interesting motorbike trip around the lake. The average depth is 105 m, with a maximum depth of 165 m, which makes Maninjau perfect for a relaxing swim after the days’ activities!
